The arrests were made Tuesday evening, according to police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi. The names of the suspects were not yet released, he said.

The signing reunites Painter with quarterbacks coach Jim Caldwell, who acted as head coach for the Colts from the time Painter was drafted in 2009 until last year, when Caldwell was fired from the team after Indianapolis finished with a 2-14 record.

The fragile statue will be moved to the Walters Art Museum and a reproduction will be installed in its place. The four griffins that guard the monument will be reconstructed.

Dance has only two years of teaching experience. That meant he needed a waiver from interim state Superintendent Bernard Sandusky, which he received. State law requires superintendents to have at least three years’ experience.

He will serve a four-year term effective July 1, 2012. Dr. Dance has a two-and-a-half-year-old son, and says “I am thrilled, honored, and humbled to be joining such an outstanding school system.”

“I was really genuinely surprised to be asked,” said Lori.

Bishop Lori has been with the Diocese of Bridgeport through some tough times, including allegations of abuse that involved priests at St. Theresa’s Church in Trumbull.

“Who could not have been really rocked to the depths by the, for example, the abuse crisis, or when one looks at the challenges of readjusting the parishes in the city of Bridgeport to meet the needs. Things like these are very, very big challenges,” said Lori.

However, Lori says with the support of the Diocese, those challenges were faced and accomplishments were made. Bishop Lori helped to increase enrollment in Fairfield County Catholic schools and helped to increase the number of men studying to become priests. He says he looks forward to what lies ahead in Baltimore, and learn more about the community he will now serve.

“The first thing that I learned here and that I hope I will practice more effectively even in Baltimore is listening. Listening to the priests, listening to the laity, listening to the religious,” said Lori.

The Diocese won’t actually start searching for a successor until Bishop Lori starts his new role in Baltimore. The search could take as long as 10 months.

Bishop William E. Lori, 60, comes from the Diocese of Bridgeport, Conn., and has testified before Congress several times in the past few months on a proposed measure to make religious employers cover contraception for their employees. The White House later backed off the rule, making insurers pay for the coverage, though many critics are still not satisfied.
